Glad I'm not dead
The whole day was miserable. I neglected Sariah to Sesame Street and laid on the couch. Threw up several times and overall thought I would die. You know where you are like so sick that you are crying, because you don't think you can make it. Yep that was my day.
And believe me, I prayed SUPER hard that night that today would be better. Of course anything would be better. But I must say that I was heard. Today was WAY better. I have actually not thrown up yet. And only contemplated it a couple of times. I was able to eat a small breakfast and lunch and a snack in the afternoon. WHOOOHOO.
So maybe my pregnancy diet is ending. So far I have lost about 8 lbs I think. But I really wouldn't recommend this type of diet! :) It only works for a few months! And then you gain it all back! hehehe

Facination with the faucet
bubbles for fun.
At first, Sariah was unaware of the new freedom. But as her toys got
away from her she quickly figured out how to scoot over to them. And
that of course led to the discovery of the faucet.

8 things tag
So the way I always do these is that I will fill it out, but I'm a bit of a party pooper and don't tag forward to anyone. Mostly because they have probably already been tagged.
8 Things I am Looking Forward to:
1. Being done with morning sickness. This is absolutely the worst part of being pregnant for me. I think it is probably worse that my labor was. Just because it goes on and on and on.
2. Finding out if I'm having a boy or girl. I would never choose to go for a surprise!
3. My next doctor appointment to hear the heartbeat.
4. Being crafty. I have been sick and not really gotten to do anything creative for a while. So I'm ready to start something. I think a painting or two.
5. Sariah walking. While I'm not in a hurry, I know it will open a whole new world of trouble making, but I am looking forward to it.
6. Looking through the wedding pictures I did for my sister in law. I'm planning to do that today.
7. Nap time.
8. Getting the house clean- well even just cleaner would be good.
8 Things I did Yesterday:
1. Went to church
2. Went to choir practice.
3. Successfully made it through the day without throwing up.
4. Took a nap with Sariah.
5. Had eggs and hash browns for dinner.
6. Read some more of the book I'm working on- Great Expectations.
7. Watched an episode of 17 Kids and Counting in great amazement. I don't know how that lady does it!
8. Snuggled with Sariah on the couch.
8 Things I Wish I Could Do:
1. Relax more. I know I worry to much.
2. Take a week off of work and not feel guilty.
3. Be better at asking people to babysit so that James and I actually went on date nights more often.
4. Blog every day with something exciting.
5. Teach Sariah how to type while I dictate to her. Since she is obsessed with the keyboard while I work.
6. Go back to school for my Masters.
7. Be more outgoing and hang out with friends more.
8. Work on less sleep. I'm a sleep-aholic!
8 Shows I Enjoy:
1. American Idol
2. Biggest Loser
3. Heroes
4. Life
5. John and Kate plus 8
6. Elmo's World- I enjoy how much Sariah loves this show.
7. Castle
8. Project Runway

Still Watching
So it wasn't like I would boycot them or anything. I think it is a great show with really good values. And hello?? Sariah is in LOVE with ELMO!! So I think she would be really mad if she didn't get her favorite show. It was just a little weird for me. I like the character and all of that.
So don't worry, Sariah still gets to watch Sesame Street!

Do I just give in?
Anyways, I'm still fighting the urge, but sometimes I wonder if it is worth it. I know I don't want to start down that path until I have to, but ugh I hate being nauseous!
Back
I will post some pictures when I get time. I must admit I was the
photographer for the wedding so I didn't really take pictures of the
trip. But I will post a few of the wedding.
So our adventure began before the sun on Friday. We got up at 5am
which is an unheard of hour for me. The plan ride there went okay.
Sariah was really good and slept about half of it. We had a layover in
Cleveland. The next part of the flight into Hartford was okay until the landing. Then it was like please just let us make it to the ground, please just land the plan, please please let us live through this. Okay maybe that is dramatic but it was a SUPER rough landing and I was just ecstatic to get off the plan!
Once there we had an hour drive to our hotel and James' sister's apartment. I am not a traveler. Really I like to be other places, just not the actual getting there part. So by the end of the flights and the drive, I was really done with movement. Not to mention that of course the week prior is when I started my morning sickness. YUCK!
But the actually being there was SO FUN! We hung out with all the family. There were 10 of us that came from KC. We laughed and told stories all night.
Saturday was the actual wedding. It was gorgeous! It was at a park outside. And his sister, who is super beautiful already, looked AMAZING! They had their own vows which were great. It was funny because he husband had a small piece of paper- about a 3x5 card. Then Jessie pulls out a full 8x11 sheet. It was just cute!
Then off to a fun reception of great food, and dancing, and partying!
Then Sunday was our last day there. Our dear friend Evgeny and his partner Jorge invited us for lunch and to hang out for the day before our flight. Evgeny used to live here and worked with James before the company moved. So another really exciting part of the trip was to see him again. He is just the best friend. He's the best host, and so gracious, and very considerate. And Jorge was just the same way. So you feel like you are so special when you are around them. This was so fun to sit and tell stories and we played more Mad Gab (we had played Friday night as well).
So then we had our hour drive to the airport. And two flights home. Sariah had a rough time for these flights. She couldn't sleep despite being really tired. I was super sick. I made it all the way through the flight and then landing in KC and threw up. So I was glad to come home and just climb right into bed.
Sariah also has a cold which went into full effect during the trip. So she has a yucky cough and running nose.
And that long post was our trip! :)

Almost time
Now my big fear is my morning sickness. I have been not feeling well since about last weekend. So far it has been managable. As long as I take it easy in the morning and eat right when I start to feel hungry with really small meals all the time. But I'm worried about tomorrow. First, our flight leaves at 7:30 so that means getting up around 5. Which is never good for me- even when I'm not pregnant. Then with traveling I don't know about how eating will go but I'm packing lots of snacks. So wish me luck. I'm also packing some ziplock bags for just incase I need to throw up. :) Pleasant I know!
Lastly, we are having friends over tonight. I know I'm nuts! Last night I lied there thinking- what was I thinking when I agreed to this. Usually when I leave on a trip my house is a disaster. But I guess not this time. So today I have to finish packing, get my normal work hours in, and clean up my messy house for company.
Wish me luck!

Trying to prepare
But right now is the preparing time. Probably one of my least favorite things about travel. All the worry and stress of getting things lined up, figuring out what to pack, and trying really hard not to forget anything.
Last night, I laid in bed trying to negotiate my wardrobe for the trip in my head.
AND WE ARE ONLY GOING TO BE GONE FOR 3 DAYS!!
I think longer trips are almost easier, because you know you will be there a while and you can just over pack. Short trips you want to pack light and concise- which is harder for me.
Not to mention packing for a baby. There are just sooooo many things to think about. And yesterday Sariah started being sick. So a trip to the doctor today just to be sure it wasn't an ear infection- since we are flying. But no all clear and good to fly as long as she doesn't get worse between now and then and develop one. UGh!
So we leave Friday morning- if I make it that far! hehehe

Star stickers
down for chemo. This is an all day event. We've been here since 8:30
and probably have at least another hour to go. But luckily I brought
star stickers. So Sariah is happily putting them on each hand. And I'm
happily letting her until she tries to eat them. :)
