Stats

I like to know where I started and see progress. With that said, I'm actually in really good shape in my opinion. I ran 15 miles last week for marathon training. I regularly workout. And strength wise feel pretty good. So why am I doing a juice fast/reboot?

Weight: 146.4
While I'm not completely attached to a number I wouldn't mind losing a few pounds. Despite my intense exercise, I am at a pretty sharp plateau for weight loss.

Measurement: 33 in waist; 22L 23R thigh

This is where I'd like some change. Mostly the waist. After 3 kids my belly isn't what it once was. And probably will never be that again. But it would be nice to have it a little closer.

So why am I doing this??

Partly to support Meg. I had really considered it before but could quite commit. Seeing her commit made me want to do it with her.

I would like to be healthier. I'm hoping this will kick start better habits and get my diet back on track.

Energy. I feel like I'm always running and always tired. I'm hoping this will give me some energy boosts from cutting out all the crap. :)

So there is the start.

Juice reboot

So I have some motivation to blog a little journey I'm taking with my sister. I finally convinced her to watch the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. She's been having serious health issues well most of her life. But lately they've been unbearable. And the doctors so far have no real answers. So I kept telling her about various healing diets. Ones that are extreme but also have shown extreme results. So I was still majorly surprised when the day after she told me she watched it and was ready to give it a try a serious try. She's aiming for like 20 days or more. I'm planning to join her for 3-5 days. Right now the plan is 5 unless by day three I no longer have 3 kids because the grumpies have taken over mommy and I can't handle them anymore.

So tonight I prepped my morning and lunch juice. Yes it is better the fresher you can drink it. But I also know that time and busyness can sabotage any diet plan I have. So I prepped tonight.

Tomorrow I'll take my stats so I can compare.

Wish me luck on my "Reboot with Joe".

Sweet Grandma Ransom

We found out today that James' Grandma Ransom passed away this morning.  My heart is heavy.  After experiencing death many times, I'm still horrible at it.  I just get so sad.  I do have a testimony that there is life after this, but it is hard on my heart to be without people.  She was the sweetest lady.  We loved to visit her and stay up late talking about her and her husband's lives.  She also always cooked for everyone although she would just eat toast pretty much every meal.  She will be loved and missed.  These are some of the photos I have from her 90th birthday a few years ago.  She really disliked having her picture taken so to me these are priceless.

Day One Entry: Jul 9, 2013

Today included taking Eli to the doctor. Yesterday his eye was a little puffy so I thought it was a bug bite. This morning it was almost swollen shut. So dropped the kids off at swim lessons thanks to the other moms agreeing to watch them and off we went. She prescribed antibiotics. She thinks his eyelid is infected and wants to make sure it doesn't spread so to be safe antibiotics it was.

It did look better as the day went. So I'm curious to see what tomorrow morning holds.

I was doing so well

I was posting pretty regularly, but then the busyness of life always seems to get in the way.

Sariah has broken her leg.  She hurt it jumping on a trampoline on 4/28.  The doctor took an xray but didn't see anything.  She sent it off for an over read that was supposed to be back in 48 hours.  Well a week and a half later, they call to say that she did in fact fracture her tibia.  And oh yeah, she shouldn't be weight bearing until she has a cast put on.  Even though for a week and a half I have been pushing her to use it and try to walk on it.  So we have a few days in an immobilizer while we wait for them to have an opening to do the cast.

And I'm worn down from carrying her every where.  And basically waiting on her hand and foot.  I guess this should be a good bonding experience for us.

I have one more final to take for my online class.  And James has class tonight plus one more final as well.  So 2 test and we are done with this horrid semester.  It has been a rough one.  Doubling up on classes has worn on both of us.  Thankfully James will finish this summer and then at least one of us will be done.

So a few more days and life should relax at least on the school front.  Need to get back on the working out & healthy eating as the last few weeks of stress have made me lax and taken a toll on my weight loss progress.

Spider Tea Party

I had such a wonderful time with Sariah at her preschool today. They did a tea party based off a Spider Tea Party book. So everything was cute but still had bugs. They made little lady bug cups with skittles inside. Did fruit loops in a Baggie with a clothes pin for a butterfly. And had these adorable spider hats. It was so fun. But the best was just being with my sweet girl.

If I survive

I keep saying if I survive this week it will be a miracle.  I am overbooked for sure and my anxiety level is through the roof.  Here’s a little glimpse of the week:

Monday- only day with nothing scheduled.  However my car battery was dead and so I had to have my neighbor come jump me.  I was late taking Sariah to school.  We decided to go out to eat and the kids were CRAZY so it was kinda  a nightmare.

Tuesday- Sariah and Ben to playgroup.  Went to a get together at a friends to watch a demo on waxing- like waxing your legs.  Then a baby shower tonight for a sweet friend that lives in Sedalia now.

Wednesday- Sariah to school, breadmaking class, boys to a sitter (thank heavens I actually had someone who said yes), then a babyshower at 11.  Then class that night which involves a CRAZY STRESSFUL HARD TEST ON MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS---Yes key source of stress here.

Thursday- Supposed to run with a friend, but yet to find a babysitter to be able to do so.  James has class that night. I have a Relief Society activity which I have also yet to get a babysitter for.

Friday- Family dinner that I’m hosting

Saturday- RUN HALF MARATHON, and Sariah is invited to a birthday party.  Oh and James is supposed to be helping the scouts deliver mulch all day as their fundraiser.

Sunday- Need to prep lesson and always a crazy day

And I have my online class so sometime during this week I have to post 2 discussions, respond to 2 other people’s post, do homework, take a quiz, AND A MIDTERM!!

Yes, if I’m still alive next week then it will surely be a MIRACLE!!
