Trying to prepare

We are going to CT this weekend for my sister in law's wedding. I'm excited for the trip. She lived with us for a while before she moved. And she moved with James' old company-taking his old position. So I'm excited to see her again, see where she lives now-where we would have lived if he had stayed with the company, be part of her wedding joy.

But right now is the preparing time. Probably one of my least favorite things about travel. All the worry and stress of getting things lined up, figuring out what to pack, and trying really hard not to forget anything.

Last night, I laid in bed trying to negotiate my wardrobe for the trip in my head.

AND WE ARE ONLY GOING TO BE GONE FOR 3 DAYS!!

I think longer trips are almost easier, because you know you will be there a while and you can just over pack. Short trips you want to pack light and concise- which is harder for me.

Not to mention packing for a baby. There are just sooooo many things to think about. And yesterday Sariah started being sick. So a trip to the doctor today just to be sure it wasn't an ear infection- since we are flying. But no all clear and good to fly as long as she doesn't get worse between now and then and develop one. UGh!

So we leave Friday morning- if I make it that far! hehehe

A little competition

So last month, we started a competition. We started it a week into the month. It was between my 3 sisters, my mom, and me. The rules were that you had to keep track of all the minutes you worked out until the end of the month. Then we would all go to dinner the next month and who ever had the most minutes got their dinner paid for by everyone else. The whole thought was that it was a good motivator to work out more and be more active. And a GREAT excuse to get to go out to a girls only dinner!

So this weekend was the dinner. We voted on a restaurant and the winner was Cascones- yummo italian! So I was feeling pretty confident. I knew I had several good long workouts. I had slacked the last week a bit and then got the stomach flu the last few days of the month. But I thought my earlier work would still keep me in the clear. Well even with my 630 minutes, I still lost to both my mom with 640 and my sister Kris who won with 701 minutes. So now I know no more slacking!! Watch out- I'm upping my game this month!

Here's a picture from the dinner: Alexis (mom), Liz (family friend), Kris, Meg, Lisa, me!

Star stickers

So Sariah and I are trying to pass the time today. We brought "papa"
down for chemo. This is an all day event. We've been here since 8:30
and probably have at least another hour to go. But luckily I brought
star stickers. So Sariah is happily putting them on each hand. And I'm
happily letting her until she tries to eat them. :)
